Pacquiao petition gains some attention

Fans are poring in from all over the globe to ask that the WBO, Keith Kizer, and the Governor of Nevada do something constructive to investigate and restore Manny’s title after the outrageous calls on Saturday evening by the judges in Las Vegas.

The amount of people attempting to sign is overwhelming the Change.org site and creating error messages.

Is this our “Arum Spring” finally for boxing?

Can we sustain an even greater amount of signatures, some are estimating 100,000 by this weekend, can it be that fans have had enough, that no longer will we stand by as our pockets, our fighter’s pocket, are picked by judges, referees, or commissions.

We shall see.

Pacquiao loses, F#ck boxing, it’s fixed

Recap of the fight

Update: (not saying Arum is innocent but I should post what he had to say) “Top Rank promoter Bob Arum fumed about the decision. “I’ve never been as ashamed of the sport of boxing as I am tonight,” said Arum, who handles both fighters.
“I’m going to make a lot of money on the rematch, but this was outrageous.”
Arum also said: “Can you believe that? Unbelievable. I went over to Bradley before the decision, and he said, ‘I tried hard, but I couldn’t beat the guy.’ “

Arum fixes the judges to pick Bradley, obviously. Let me ask you, what kind of champ says he needs to review the tape to figure out if he won. I wanted to hear Freddie Roach’s stuttering ass flip out about this, I wish I could hangout and see how fucking mad this great man was right now. I enjoy boxing but I don’t agree with how its judged, it should only be judged by ex boxers or trainers.

If Bradley had any integrity he would say, “Yea I got the judges call, but I didn’t win the fight. We gotta have a rematch and see whats up. The only thing you could say is that Manny did as little as possible to win, he didn’t go all out and try to knock him out each round, and he would chill out the first two thirds of each round, but Bradley never retaliated.

Bottomline, they both showed good defense, but Pacquiao established a straight left hand that Bradley had no answer for. Fuck boxing, judges are stupid. Judges should only be ex trainers and boxers and should be paid more.

I could see Manny retiring or taking time off so Mayweather fights and knocks out Bradley in three rounds, remember I said that, so then he can have his last big fight.

Asked for $100,000… got $10,000,000+

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/597507018/pebble-e-paper-watch-for-iphone-and-android

And from that 68k people threw down an average of a little less than $150 each, making the “Pebble: E-reader” the most funded project on Kickstarter at $10,266,845. A title previously held by Tim Schafer’s promise to develop an old school adventure game, which 83k people spent an average of $40 to raise $3.4 million.

On a side note, Kickstarter takes home 5% and amazon takes 3 to 5% in credit card fees, which comes out to $513,342.25 on the pebble and $166,818.55 on the adventure game. I think 2012 is the year Kickstarter breaks way ahead in the whole crowd source funding game and shows publishers the true potential of cutting out the middle man. It’s crazy to think a few years ago the biggest project was less than one donation of the larger projects funded on Kickstarter, ($3,000 was the highest funded project in 2009, single donations have been as high as $10,000 recently)

Its invigorating to see that ideas are able to be supported in such a way. I hope to start my own Kickstarter one day and let my ideas be funded by people who passionately support them, not by investors who are only concerned with a bottom-line.

Perry for President?

Rick Perry for 2012

Although, the guy isn’t perfect, in these times, one can only hope for a candidate as good as Perry. A republican candidate should be someone who does not compromise on Individual and property rights, limited government, and Capitalism.

“If selfishness is so bad,…”

… then why is it acceptable for the person accusing you of it to want you to do something?”

“The next time someone accuses you of being “selfish,” for not doing what they want, then say this: “Aren’t you being selfish for wanting me to do things YOUR way, in a way that suits YOU?” The reaction will not be friendly, but it will end the intimidation once and for all. Nobody can intimidate you without your consent.”
